An Avoma alternative that does less.

Not a smaller Avoma. A focused tool for one job.

Avoma is a broad meeting suite: scheduler, AI notes, conversation intelligence, coaching, revenue intelligence, all in one surface. Runlight is one of those surfaces, done deeper. If you looked at Avoma and realized the only part you actually need is the briefing layer, this page is for you. Runlight records every call, synthesizes what happened, and rewrites a living briefing on every contact before the next conversation starts.

The mistake people make searching for an Avoma alternative.

The default move is to search for a cheaper all-in-one: same scheduler, same AI notes, same coaching library, priced lower. Most of the roundups on Google are that list. If what you actually use from Avoma is the entire suite, a cheaper version is the right search. Runlight is not that.

The less obvious path is the one most Avoma buyers end up on a year later. They look at their usage and realize the real value sits in exactly one layer: the briefings and the context around each contact. The scheduler is replaceable by Calendly. The coaching clips never get watched. The revenue intelligence duplicates what the CRM already shows. What remains is the question the team actually asks, which is, what do I need to remember before my next call.

That is the question Runlight answers.

I.
What Runlight actually does

One briefing per person, rewritten after every call.

Runlight records your meetings, but recording is the input, not the output. The output is a single page for every contact, synthesized across every conversation and ready before the next one begins.

One page per person
The briefing is the product.

Every contact you meet with has a single page: what's been discussed, what was decided, what you promised, what's still open. Rebuilt after every recorded call, current before the next one.

Prep surfaces itself
Context on arrival.

Your home view shows today's calls ordered by start time, each with its briefing already loaded. You don't remember to prep. The prep is already there.

Custom extraction
Your fields, not ours.

Deal stage, candidate score, competitor mentions, commitment made. Define the fields your team cares about once; Runlight extracts them from every transcript automatically.

II.
When to pick which

The honest decision matrix. Pick the right tool.

Not a feature-parity table. A genuine guide to which tool solves which problem. Sometimes that's Avoma. Sometimes it's Runlight. Occasionally it's both.

Pick Avoma when
Pick Runlight when
You want scheduler, notes, coaching, and pipeline in one surface
You want a sharp tool for one job: prep, briefings, contact intelligence
Managers review recorded calls for coaching at a regular cadence
Reps walk into the next call and need context before it starts
Your team uses Avoma's built-in scheduler as a Calendly replacement
You already have scheduling handled and just need the intelligence layer
You need revenue intelligence tied into an enterprise pipeline view
You need a living briefing per contact, with your custom fields
Your motion is outbound-heavy SDR/AE with structured cadences
Your motion is founder-led, or high-touch CS, or consulting

If you recognized yourself in the right column for most rows, Runlight is the Avoma alternative you were actually searching for.

III.
Who it's built for

Teams that don't want a suite. They want the answer.

Runlight is built for operators whose job is conversation, not configuration. Three profiles that fit.

Founder-led sales
The founder is closing every deal.

Before product-market fit, the CEO runs every first call. Runlight means the founder stops rediscovering each prospect and walks into every follow-up with the last conversation already loaded.

Small CS and AE teams
Two to twenty reps, high-touch motion.

Every call matters and nobody has time to configure a platform. One briefing per contact, rewritten after every recorded meeting, so the handoff from call one to call three feels continuous.

Consulting and services
Client memory across engagements.

Discovery, project updates, quarterly reviews. Every client has a page that rewrites itself, so the next meeting doesn't start with three months of re-reading old notes.

Questions people ask

Before you sign in.

  • No. Avoma is a broad meeting lifecycle suite: scheduler, AI notes, conversation intelligence, revenue intelligence, coaching. Runlight is pre-call prep and contact intelligence, nothing else. If you rely on Avoma for scheduling, agenda templates, or formal rep coaching, Runlight isn't the shape you want. If the piece you actually use is the AI notes and briefings, Runlight does that job and returns more context per contact.

  • Teams that want a single tool for scheduling, meeting prep, and post-call collaboration in one surface, mid-market SDR and AE teams with managers running a structured coaching program, and organizations standardizing on a multi-feature meeting platform. Avoma has real depth across those use cases.

  • Founders running early sales, AE and CS teams of two to twenty people, consulting and services practices, recruiters, and anyone whose primary pain is walking into calls without remembering what was said last time. Runlight solves that problem directly with a briefing per contact that rewrites itself after every recorded meeting. You trade Avoma's suite breadth for a sharper output in the one place it matters most.

  • Google Meet, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams. A recording bot joins every call on your Google Calendar, transcribes the conversation, extracts the fields your organization defines, and updates a living briefing on every attendee. Dialer-native recording isn't supported.

  • Yes. Every organization defines its own extraction schema: deal stage, competitor mentions, commitment made, product feedback, candidate rating, whatever shape your business needs. Runlight pulls those fields from every transcript automatically and keeps them on each contact page. The schema edits bump a version and records from older versions can be backfilled.

  • Every meeting, contact, and custom field is exposed via a read-only JSON API keyed by org-scoped bearer tokens. That's the current integration surface. Direct CRM pushes (HubSpot, Salesforce, Attio) are on the roadmap and available now under Customer Intelligence as a Service, the done-for-you tier.

  • Runlight is free during the beta. Post-beta pricing is a flat per-seat number with no feature tiers: you get everything. See the pricing page for current numbers. Comparing line-item against Avoma's bundles is apples to oranges because the tools solve different problems.
